Use a buyer's agent.

A buyer's agent is an agent who represents you, not the seller. This can be really helpful during the negotiation of an offer as the buyer's agent is required not to tell the seller your preferences. The buyer's agent is also "on your side" to get you the lowest price possible.

A buyer's agent will also be able to show you more properties as they are not trying to sell you only properties that they have listed.

Choosing an agent who is experienced and there for you will help you to have a more pleasant home buying experience. Your agent should be involved in showing you homes, answering any of your questions and really working for the best deal for you.
