Helpful Tip for a Seller

Why are you selling?

Knowing why you are selling your property makes it easier to develop an action plan and get what you want. Do you need to sell and close quickly or is getting the highest price possible, regardless of the time involved, more important?

If you need to close quickly, then getting the highest price is probably not a top priority for you. Not that you won't get the highest price, but keep in mind your deadlines. A buyer who can close on your time frame is more appealing than a buyer that can offer more money but doesn't fit into your timing to close.

If you don't need to close quickly, you have more flexibility with price, closing time and other items of the offer that you can negotiate to your best interests.

Know ahead of time how low you will go on the selling price before you begin entertaining offers. This can save you time that would otherwise be spent looking over an offer that is too low of a price.

Be sure to talk about these point with your agent so that they can assist you in your objectives.
